Product Review - Mario Badescu Whitening Mask

Don't expect anything too much with this. It's a general clay mask (Kaolin clay) that has some skin lightening ingredients like Kojic Acid, Mulberry and Licorice extract.

It claims to hydrate (...it's a clay mask, how and why would it be hydrating???) and reduce the look of acne scars and hyperpigmentation issues. Well, I've used it about 2 or 3 times a week for almost 2 months and to be honest I didn't recieve any results. Not even temporary or instant results after washing it off. The product is really disappointing since I heard so many great things about Mario Badescu and this product.

I ordered it off the offical site. Cost me a total of 30 bucks with shipping and handling. I still use it from time to time, since I have some left in the 2 oz jar.

But pass on this one.

Did you even have acne scars and the like when you used this? If you were looking for a mask that will whiten your skin then this is not it. As advertised, this product is not for skin whitening but for lightening the discolorations and acne scars on the face. This is why people who wish to have a tanner complexion can use this product.

I had a few acne marks and freckles on my face when I used this, and didn't find that it did anything to them. In this review I didn't outline too much, sorry about that. It was one of my first reviews so I didn't really go into detail.

I did use it for 2 months and saw no improvement. The product just didn't cut it for me, if it works for others than that is awesome. I always advocate that everyone's skin is different.

I would say that the Kose Herbal Esthetic Whitening Mask does a much better job at lightening fading acne marks, freckles as well as overall skin tone. That is definitley worth the investment. =)
