Product Recommendation - M2 HP Skin Refinish

Formerly known as MaMa Lotion, M2 Refinish is a line in the re-formulated M2 Skin Care collection. I've heard of MaMa Lotion before, in fact it debuted roughly ten years ago. At the time, it was an innovative AHA product that used mandelic acid and malic acid (two very skin friendly AHAs) to exfoliate, lighten, even and smooth skin.

M2 is the new name now, and it still utilizes effective, high concentrations of Mandelic and Malic acid. They now have a line of cleansers, moisturizers, body exfoliators, and face treatments. The M2 Refinish in my opinion is the star product line. There are two products designed for the face and neck, and that is: M2 HP Skin Refinish 20% Lotion (very strong), and M2 HP Skin Refinish 12% Lotion (for sensitive skin types). There is also one designed for treating body skin, which is Body Refinish 15%.

The M2 HP Skin Refinish products are specifically targeted towards hyperpigmented, acne-prone skin types. Mandelic Acid is excellent at breaking up keratin in the skin, controlling and removing excess oil, and clearing up pores (has an antibacterial effect). Malic Acid is much more mild and actually has been proven to have a skin lightening effect (through providing free radical protection, very much like a topical antioxidant). Moreso than lactic acid (which is the most gentle of all the AHAs, and has pigment breaking properties as well). Together, at high concentrations like this can result in significant exfoliation and an even, brighter and lighter skin tone.

Though M2 Refinish products are not necessarily 'skin lighteners' they definitley have skin lightener-like properties and can definitley help with having a more luminous, beautiful complexion. It contains fantastic ingredients that can clear up mild acne, have brighter more glowing skin, and more calm skin (Hyaluronic Acid improves lipid barrier function, which can prevent excessive irriation).

I would without a doubt recommend these M2 Refinish products to anyone who cannot tolerate retinoids, or is looking for some leave-on exfoliator (basically someone not interested in a peel) and wants effective exfoliation, clear skin and brightening. The M2 Skin Refinish 20% and 12% are excellent and are gaining rave reviews. Suprisingly many of the reviews I've read mention the lightening aspect of the product. The M2 Body Refinish is great for people looking for areas to exfoliate and even out body skin. This can be an alternative to using a mild peel on the body. It also has been proven to treat comedonal acne, so it definitley can be the product to use if you cannot tolerate using an Rx retinoid. High concentrations of malic and mandelic acid can produce great results.

M2 Refinish products can be found at the official www.m2skincare.com website as well as, www.skincarerx.com, and www.pharmacymix.com. The M2 HP Skin Refinish 20% (50mL) runs for about $44.00. The M2 Body Refinish 15% is available for $44.50.
