Kiehl's Photo-Age Corrector High Potency Treatment

Kiehl’s has come out with a powerful new skin tone corrector called the Photo-Age Corrector High Potency Treatment.

This spot treatment targets hyperpigmentation, acne marks and discolorations by inhibiting melanin production in two ways. One through antioxidant melanin inhibition (Ascorbyl Glucoside) and a tyrosinase inhibitor (Sakura Leaf Extract). Sakura Leaf Extract is a popular extract found in many Asian brand skin lighteners and skin whiteners.

Plant extracts found in Japanese skin lighteners intrigue me. As do ones found in ayuverdic fairness creams.

It also contains light reflecting minerals like mica and titanium dioxide which instantly brighten the entire look of the skin.

This high potency spot lightener does look very promising. The clinical results on it are part of the reason why I find it worth blogging about. 89 percent of women saw more even skin tone, and 96 percent saw increased overall radiance and luminosity. These results are exactly what this product promises and it seems to deliver wonderfully.

The Photo-Age Corrector High Potency Treatment is part of an entire line of products designed to reverse UV damage and brighten the entire skin. A 1 oz tube of this potent spot lightener runs for $49.00 on the official Kiehl’s website.

Great post! However What annoys most is when companies claim to results such as '89 percent of women SAW more even skin tone, and 96 percent SAW increased overall radiance and luminosity. They SAW the difference visually in the mirror!, this type of test is done by ticking a few boxes in a questionnaire rather than ACTUALLY analysing the improvement in skin Scientifically to show % of improvement using for example scientific equipment to measure the before and after change. Its a bunch of lies thrown at us by such companies that know we can't tell the difference between actual clinical results and results based on a questionnaires where people claim to 'SEE' results and these results even when published are not subject to laws and regulations! I suggest look for results that show actual clinical trials/tests done with real scientific data and measurement. Sorry for rambling on!

I agree. I always look out for clinical trials that are conducted by the company. Actual graphs/charts are always nice too. =)

Hi Mileena :)

I recently bought some Whole Foods Vitamin C Powder (they didn't have crystals that weren't buffered with calcium) so I could make a DIY Vitamin C Serum and complete the Retinoid-Botanical Lightener-Vitamin C trifecta :)I wonder if after applying you are supposed to leave on for a certain amount of time and wash off or do you just leave it on?

Vitamin C serums are meant to be left on. They can be used every other day though since ascorbic acid goes deep into the layers and can provide antioxidant benefits for up to 48 hours. Using it daily though strengthens this. =)
