Recommended Sites For Asian Brand Skin Lightening Products

For those who regularly read this blog, you already know how much I love Asian brand skin lightening products. The plant extracts and other ingredients they use in their serums, sunscreens and masks trump any of the main skin lightening actives found in Western skin lighteners.

I also love to browse various websites for excellent skin lighteners and skin brighteners to blog about. I’ve decided to share with all of you my favorite Asian beauty sites that offer amazing products from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Philippines etc. Honestly I really have to control myself when I’m on these sites because I always want to purchase something! There are just a plethora of products that can aid any skin lightening regimen or be the saving grace of a stagnant skin lightening regimen.

I used to get most of my blogging material from online science journals or dermatology databases, but in the last year or so I found that Asian beauty sites off the most in variety both in active ingredients and information regarding methods of skin lightening.

These sites sell a lot more than just BB creams. I’ve found some amazing gems while surfing them. I warn you though, browsing these sites can be VERY addicting! =P

One of my favorite sites! Search for keywords like whitening and brightening.
Great selection of sunscreens and also has BeautyDIY products

Stands for Japanese Beauty Brands Amazing products overload! Lots of amazing skin whitening essences and masks plus sunscreens.

Excellent vendor for Japanese skin care! This site has loads of amazing matte sunscreens and skin lightening products.

Another great site that offers a range of Asian beauty lighteners and products.

Bobodave has great prices and deals lighteners, masks, serums and sunscreens. Very reliable and sometimes offers free international shipping (depends on the product).

I recently become overcautious. Sunlight is a gift from God but we try too hard to avoid it. Thanks to smartskincare.com who made me even more afraid of sun--ouch!! Sunscreens are all stupid since you want perfection but they offer you no sensation. Homosalate in expensive sunscreen?? I can live with spf 8 but not without uva blocker, dear! Im eyeing mexoryl since its power in blocking d rays is good. It covers all wave eventhough im pretty sure im so-so in physic :D i guess i have to sacrifice. I'll purchase loreal white perfect transparent rosy whitening day cream. Loreal patented mexoryl sx (right?) so its gonna be good... For my hands and neck, i use my old vaseline healthy sunblock spf 30 pa ++. I wonder why i always find uvb-oriented day creams...

Hi Randy!

I missed your comments! ♥

I love your recent insight into sunscreen. The main point of sunscreen is to protect your skin. There's no point in getting a sunscreen for the sake of having a sunscreen. It should have some value - offer great protection from both UVB and UVA rays.

That's why I usually never get suckered into purchasing sunscreens with lightening ingredients or special ingredients. Just give me a sunscreen that is cosmetically elegant on my skin (not super greasy) and protects me. That's all I want.

Mexoryl SX (and XL) as well as Tinsorb are top UVA blocking ingredients. Very very powerful. L'oreal sunscreens contain a lot of Mexoryl SX and XL which are both great. Other sunscreens have it too though.

Its a little pricey for students though. 6.8 dollars depending on where u buy it. My usual sunscreen, acnes uv tint, is just 3.5 dollars--extremely affordable.

sobbbb. Why did i cheat on acnes uv tint?? Its way better than loreal. Eventhough loreal has octocrylene in d 3rd row (should be strong) but its not cosmetically elegant... It just emphasizes d active pimples i have now--how stupid. Now i use it as night cream :D i know uv tint SEEMS like a sheer blocker but its so good. Is it okay to wash more than twice? My theory: as long as you moisturize right after cleansing, its gonna be okay. I dont want to be fussy. Ive splurged on loreal day thats supposed to be used in d morning but ends up used as night cream :D if i have money, next purchase will be an antiaging serum!! Im gonna be broke :D yaaay! Skincare makes me tempted to be a burglar, literally.

lolol! I'm not going to lie, it tempts me to become one also! It can get pricey that's why it's best to wait and only purchase when you are FULLY ready to get a product.

Sorry to hear the L'oreal UV Tint turned out to not be cosmetically elegant =( That happens all the time when shopping for sunscreens which is why I have given up on most conventional ones and just go for ones designed for humid weather like Biore UV Perfect Face Milk =)

You can cleanse more than twice a day. I usually don't recommend it since it can cause overdrying and it really messes up the moisture barrier function of the skin which is what BALANCES out everything (sebum secretion etc.) but moisturizing afterwards really does help. I used to cleanse 3 times a day when I used to run (I used to run all the time in marathons) because of the sweat. Now...not so much because I don't need to. But if you find your skin becoming too greasy or whatever, then do what you need to - even if that means cleansing more than twice a day.
